Kakamega County Assembly committee on the Appointments has vetted Mrs. Vivianne Mbaka Komwonyo, nominee to the position of the County Attorney.
The Committee chaired by the Speaker, Hon. Morris Buluma on Thursday morning vetted her to establish her suitability to head the County Law office.

His Excellence, the Governor Hon. Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya nominated the 38 years old advocated to the position of the County Attorney and her name was forwarded to the Assembly for her vetting as is stipulated by law.
Before her nomination, Mrs. Mbaka was serving as the acting County Attorney. She joined the County government of Kakamega in 2018 when she was employed as senior Litigation Counsel.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Law.
She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in corporate governance.
The Committee will retreat to write a report, which will be tabled in the House for deliberation.
