Mr. Kamwessar Patrick Wafula – Clerk of the County Assembly

Was born on 21st March, 1962 in formerly Bungoma North District.

Mr. Patrick Kamwessar attended Lumakanda Secondary School and sat for his East Africa Certificate of Education (EACE) Division 2 then later joined Nyasiongo High School and did his Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (K.A.C.E) in 1981 where he scored 3 Principals, 1 Subsidiary. In 1986, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Upper Second Class Honors in Government and Literature. Mr. Kamwessar holds a post Graduate Diploma in Planning and Management of Development Projects from Catholic University of Eastern Africa.

More so, he has a Masters (MBA) in Strategic Management from Moi University and a Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme from Kenya School of Government.

Working Experience.

Mr. Kamwessar worked as untrained graduate teacher at Khasoko High School between 1986 and 1994.

From June 1998 to April 2001, he served as Senior Administrative Officer/ Ag. Chief Administrative Officer, City Council of Nairobi.

April 2001 to November 2003, Mr. Kamwesssar served as the County Clerk, County of Lugari.

November 2003 to March 2006 he was the Clerk to the Town Council of Port Victoria.

March 2006 to November 2009, he was the Town Clerk, County Council of Nzoia.

From November 2009 to 2013, he worked as the County Clerk Salary Scale 3 at the County Council of Kakamega.

March 2013 to date, he has worked as the Interim Clerk of the County Assembly of Kakamega.
