The Committee on Health Services conducted a successful public hearing on The Kakamega County Maternal Child Health and Family Planning (Amendment) Bill, 2020.
The public participation forum was held at the Kakamega Social Hall, bringing together stakeholders from all the 60 Wards.

The Committee’s Chairperson Hon. Lucas Radoli who also represents Malaha/Isongo ward encouraged citizens to be at the forefront on matters Public Participation saying the constitution has given citizenry immense powers in public governance through County and National governments.
I encourage all citizens to ensure they raise concerns and views which will be captured as the law provides that Wananchi should have a voice in all that we legislate, Hon Radoli said.
While giving views, citizens called for enhanced maternal healthcare across the county for quality perinatal care.
