TOURISM COMMITTEE VISITS COUNTY CULTURAL SITES

The Committee on Trade, Industrialization and Tourism has visited county public cultural sites to ascertain their status.

Cultural sites are key is promoting county heritage and also as an economic boon.

They include: Mawe Tatu Hills in Lugari, Mukayi stone and caves in Malava, Misango hills in Khwisero, Nabongo Shrine in Matungu and Kambiri Hill in Shinyalu.

The Committee’s chairperson, Hon.Benard Omboko said they are committed to ensuring that infrastructure of all cultural sites are improved to promote both domestic and foreign tourists.

We will submit a report to the house with recommendations that will make the county executive allocate more resources to improve cultural sites and other tourists’ attraction activities across county.” Hon. Omboko said.
