The County Government of Kakamega has been recognized for its outstanding governance and leadership by the Institute of Certified Secretaries (ICS).
The Friday colourful gala event saw Kakamega County honoured at the prestigious champions of governance Award 2024 held at Sarova hotel in Nairobi, where other public and private institutions were also recognized by ICS, which is dedicated to the promotion, growth, development and regulation of the governance and corporate secretarial profession in Kenya.
Kakamega County Assembly Speaker,Hon. James Namatsi,on behalf of the County Government of Kakamega received the Award presented by the Institute’s chairperson, FCS Joshua Wambua, honouring the two arms of the County Government – the County Executive and Assembly for combined efforts and contributions in championing for good governance.
“Credit for this achievement goes to H.E FCPA Governor, Fernandes Barasa for his exemplary leadership that has seen our County continue to grow on all fronts of development and leadership.
