INDUCTION ON EHANCING OPERATIONS OF THE ASSEMBLY

The County Assembly of Kakamega leadership,members of the Assembly’s Service Board(CASB) and the Clerk are undergoing an induction on strategic management in line with functions and roles of a legislature.
The induction forum,which also brings together directors aims to create synergy among top leadership and the new Clerk Dr. Donald Keya Manyala for effective functioning of the Assembly.
While officially opening the workshop, the Assembly’s Speaker, Hon. James Namatsi underscored the need for robust public service delivery noting that the new clerk will bring a wealth of experience from the National Assembly,his former station to the county legislature.
“We are looking upon you to help in the transformation of our Assembly because you are equal to the task,” the Speaker said and commended the staff fraternity for being steady fast in delivery of public services.
On Thursday ,the Clerk to the County Assembly of Tharaka Nithi,Mr. Amos Kiangwe inducted the participants on the Constitutional framework, Assembly structure and functions, and clerk’s roles and responsibilities while Mr. Osborn Obayo, acting deputy director, Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC) secretariat had a session on understanding the administrative structures of the County Assembly.
